"In 20 years there will be nothing left of Beijing," says a resident of a historic city district. Beijing-born filmmaker Ronja Yu returns to her home town to document the transformation of the city as it prepares for the summer Olympics 2008. A gleaming new Beijing is replacing the old emperor capital, but the interests of the citizens living in these transitioning areas are widely ignored by a government obsessed with progress and image.
